Maja and Rob got married on a stormy Sun Valley day

It’s not often that Sun Valley feels like the rainy northwest, but on Maja and Rob’s wedding day, the valley was shrouded in a heavy mist, with the mountains just visible through the clouds. I always feel bad when a couple doesn’t get what they envisioned on their wedding day, but Maja and Rob were in the best spirits about the whole thing! We ended up having a blast— finding little gems, locations we had never really noticed, that were dry— and running around with umbrellas with the two of them and their wedding party.

After a downpour during their ceremony, which was held inside of the Trail Creek Pavilion tent, the clouds parted and we were rewarded with the most stunning view of the mountains, and a clear evening and beautiful sunset.

The dramatic weather of the day did nothing to dampen the spirits of Maja and Rob’s guests, who were so excited to be there to celebrate Maja and Rob and their lives together. Rob’s family— Wood River Valley locals— was so happy to welcome Maja’s eastern European family, who has settled in the midwest and hadn’t had the chance to visit Maja and Rob’s home away from home in Idaho until the wedding.
