Jessie & Stephen’s Natural Boulder Mountains Engagement Session

It was so wonderful getting to spend a little more time with these two while they were in town—talking about their adventures, their plans, and everything they’re looking forward to together. I loved getting to know them better and seeing the way they naturally move through the world.

One of my favorite things about an engagement session is getting to learn a couple’s rhythm—the little ways they interact, the way they make each other laugh, and all those in-between moments that make their relationship uniquely theirs. They get a chance to experience being in front of my camera, and I get to learn how to photograph them in a way that feels natural and true to who they are.

That time together means so much on the wedding day. When I already know how a couple moves and connects, I can step in more naturally and photograph them as they really are, rather than asking them to perform for the camera.

Jessie & Stephen, I’m so glad we got this time together, and I’m already looking forward to celebrating you both next summer.
