Our trip to Honduras
The clearest water I have ever seen in my life-- in all shades of blue and green. Kids covered in sand from head to toe. Pouring rain, blustering winds. Cool drinks and good friends.It’s always so refreshing to leave town and spend time with Gurmeet and the kids. After a really busy summer and fall, we choose the island of Roatan, 30 miles off the coast of Honduras, for a bit of an unusual way to spend thanksgiving. It was a trip with all the right ingredients— three other couples with kids the same ages are ours, lobster plucked straight from the ocean, and a house on the beach in a part of the world we have always wanted to explore. It turned out to be quite an adventure—sunny days, amazing beaches, some of the best snorkeling we have ever done, and a six-day storm, which is the biggest the island has seen in five years.
Great adventures with Robin and Bob, Susie and Troy, Melissa and Luke, and all the cute little kids that made it such a memorable trip!
