Allie + John and their fun Ketchum wedding!

Allie and John's wedding was a great end to our super busy wedding season! I love the two of them and their sweet, fun and warm personalities. Their wedding was wonderful-- a beautiful ceremony, a spectacular fall day and family and friends beaming with happiness for Allie and John!John grew up in Ketchum, went to the Community School and has a super close group of friends from the valley (I actually met him years ago when I did his high school senior portraits!) He and Allie went to Gonzaga and met on a weekend skip trip to Canada through the GU Ski and Snowboard Club. They found they had lots in common and started dating shortly after.I often ask people about how they got engaged, because it always tells me so much about who they are as a couple. Here is Allie and John's story,"As a tradition every year John and his family spend the 4th of July at their cabin in Stanley. This year, John and I were fortunate to have time off work and traveled to Idaho to join in the holiday celebrations. The morning of July 3rd John asked if I would like to go on a hike to kick off the day, which sounded nice before the day got too warm, so I said sure! We hopped on our bikes and headed towards the mountain directly across from the family cabin, which they had nicknamed years ago “Crystal Mountain.” John was carrying a backpack, which I found a little odd, but I didn’t think much of it. When we got to the top of the hike it was a beautiful view- we could see the cabin, the river and the snowy Sawtooth Mountains in the distance. I was taking pictures of the view when I turned around to see John kneeling down! I was completely shocked and thrilled, and said yes right away. From his backpack john pulled out champagne and his parents' wedding glasses for a toast to a lifetime of adventures together."A super sweet story for an awesome couple!
